Reader comment on item: Ban the Burqa, Allow the Burkini

Submitted by David MC (Ireland), Aug 24, 2016 at 08:29

The Burkini is really what is highlighting what Islam is doing in the west it is another way to divide and conquer I for one dont mind the so called burkini as it is functional in that it upholds modesty as some women are conscious of their bodies as are men and it does give protection against the sun as a form of religious garb then it may also be used

but I am not concerned about this most people go to the beach to have fun not try to spread their religion , its the fact that we again are having to confront Muslims living parallel lives in western societies is where I have an issue , why cant the authorities use common sense as this will again be used by the extremists to launch terrorist attacks against French citizens ,

my problem with banning things is the more you ban something the more extreme you will make people be , there is no easy answer other than banning Islam as a whole in western societies .
