Is Allah God?Reader comment on item: Is Allah God? Submitted by J.Grant (United States), Jun 29, 2005 at 13:10 One assumes that the word or name, "Allah," is in the singular. On the other hand, I understand that the Hebrew word for God, "Elohim," would appear to be in the plural rather than in the singular. The theological implications of this I leave to scholars, theologans and rabbis. However, I wonder whether or not this linguistic difference between the Arabic and the Hebrew also reflects fundamental differences? James Grant .
