Trump seems to be the Obama 2.0

Reader comment on item: There's a Name for Trump's Brand of Politics: Neo-fascism

Submitted by Stefan (Switzerland), Apr 7, 2016 at 22:08

The problem is that Trump in many ways seem to follow in the footsteps of Obama.

The totalitarian streak of Mr Sanders is similar to Trump and Obama. And Clinton is corrupt, a gun for hire.

As I see it the problem is that the Republican party do not have any vision or a strategy any longer. An no charismatic person to create and sell the vision "a house on s shining hill."
GOP have become a pork barrel party for insiders, the root became obvious already with Tom Delay and George Bush 43.

As a life long supporter of US, having spent a lot of my life in socialist countries, I find the present situation in US very worrying indeed.
