my general rule is: 1. follow the money. 2. then follow the power. 3. now the truth will be shown.
as for the japanese internment, i believe it was pushed hard by those who would profit by it. the japanese properties weren't ground under, but were sold for a song. nobody could have received fair value. the potential buyers, i'm sure, were only too willing to spread the yellow scare on our west coast. there was no major german scare on the east coast. we could have easily started that one also, except they would have been much more difficult to recognize. no amount of evidence to the contrary, will make me believe, we were fully honorable. you can't trust anyone, including families, when it comes to money. the courts are strewn with haggling families over estates.
i haven't given much thought to the israeli problem, but builders and suppliers might be winners. certain political parties might be winners. nothing happens in a vacuum.
