Contrary to the comments Hindus were also cleansed out in 1947 from what is now know as Pakistan. The cleansing was a two-way traffic. But since 1947 the percentage of Hindus in Pakistan has gone from 25% to less than 1% while in India the Muslims have gone from 8% to 20%.

Second, there is precedence worse than Gaza. In Kashmir the Islamic terrorists, and the Dhimmi Indian state seemingly cooperated in the most efficient cleansing of modern times. 350,000 Kashmiri Hindus were driven out by threats of the Islamists, and the government's unwillingness to provide security to the minority. I guess that explains why they both use the term "fled" to describe our cleansing.

I do sympathize with the Gaza's Jewish residents, and understand how it feels to be betrayed by your own government, and lose your home. But picture a marauding band of well-armed terrorists, bent on rape, pillage, and beheading, blaring warnings over Mosque loudspeakers while the Indian government official says they can do nothing, you are own your own, and suggesting it was best to leave.

I am sure Gaza's Arab residents must be chomping on the real estate booty coming their way from the departing Jewish residents leave, it is just like Kashmir in 1990s.
