We readers failed to give you an appropriate term of comparison. I was one of those who got it wrong. Point taken. I cannot speak for everybody who wrote and I will just speak for myself. In my opinion, Sharon is evicting 8,000 of his own people in order to reach peace with the Arabs. I know it is a very high price to pay, but it is worth it. Now that Arafat is dead, the Israelis have got a very good opportunity to reach peace with the Arabs. Right now, the Israelis can negotiate peace in their own terms. Give peace a chance.
