Bully religion, and then some.....

In actual fact, it goes further than a 'bully religion', if you examine the text in the Koran, and the Arabian conquests in an historical perspective, you see that there is an affinity for Jews and Christians initially, and I think that mercenaries , from all religions, backgrounds, and nationalities were involved. Mohammed claimed , that warfare, killing etc. were sanctioned to him by God. I believe that criminals were drawn to these kind of sayings, and the fact that he paid well! All in the name of God. So, re-iterating, I would claim that the Koran is a criminals manual - and evidence such as the Barbary Coast Pirates back this up. The ambassador of Tripoli, defending the acts of Piracy to the future president of the US, Thomas Jefferson, said, , "That's what we do. We are commanded to do so by Allah." Jefferson later wrote that the Tripoli ambassador told him, "It was written in their Koran that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman (Muslim) who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to Paradise."

I stand by my claim ...
