WHAT IS ISLAM WITHOUT VIOLENCE?

Reader comment on item: Islamism's Likely Doom
in response to reader comment: Or is ISLAM itself perhaps Doomed?

Dr. Pipes says:To answer the question at the end: It is perfectly possible to be a Good Muslim and not accept any of these views. It all depends on how one understands the Koran and Hadith.

How could he say that! The way to understand the Qur'an is to see what Muslims do. There's no difficulty here. Let's not complicate and inject confusion. That there can be a biological sport among Muslims is not their defining character. If a Muslin no longer hates and is not violent in practicing his "religion" he is no longer a "Good" Muslim. What he is, is yet to be defined. Take violence out of Islam and what is left over? That's the question!
