I have no difficulty if a Muslim writes a book about the historical Jesus.

Well, I have a problem with it, but I am not sure. I wouldn't be interested in a book written by a Phd in religion and at the same time a believer of Muhammad. I think there is an inherent conflict of interest so the deck is stacked against quality and objectivity. I would be interested in a book about Jesus written by someone with a Phd in religion and an atheist.
