Reader comment on item: Islamism's Likely Doom

Submitted by Doug Mayfield (United States), Jul 22, 2013 at 17:01

...it is that malevolent authoritarian movements such as Islam continuously generate clashing factions until one achieves the power to wipe the competition. Communism in Russia and China, Nazism in Germany, had purges again and again until only a single brutal leader held absolute sway (could murder at will) over not only the movement but the entire country. Islam is no different.

There will be non stop warfare in the Middle East until one brand of Islam is triumphant. No amount of 'papering over' differences will suffice to stop this. (Look for publicity photos from 'peace' conferences with deadly enemies giving each other cold smiles, shaking hands or even embracing each other, while plotting how to murder their way to the top.)
