in response to reader comment: Russian tourists as a source of financing anti-Russian activities of the Turks

Submitted by ek (United Kingdom), Dec 20, 2012 at 15:51

i believe there are some russian women prostituting in turkey. it is also true that turkey needs russia for many things as a neighbour like russia need turkey. as to pan-turkism, i think it was a 19th century and earlier 20th century ideology especially amongst those turks who escaped from the brutalities of russians. it is not a prevailing idea amongst turkish people any more. as it is known fact , trafficking women for sex is a global problem which needs adressing at all levels. turkey is part of it. not all the turkish people are involved with it in any way or form or shape. a small circle of criminals are responsible for it.
