I'd put my objection one level deeper. Even if Islamism were to triumph by purely peaceful means, I would not want to live under it. We've been through the Middle Ages once; this would like be a return to the Middle Ages, with a few modern treats like fast cars and aircraft thrown in. But it is the same mindset. We've been there; done that; got the t-shirt and moved on. As a great master wrote: 'Mediaeval art is charming; mediaeval emotions are not'. Mediaeval emotions tend towards extremist positions,in religion and politics. From there it is a short step to religious monopolism, persecution and war.
