I almost couldn't have put it better myself. There are no other alternatives, as you say than: There are however a few points on which I might think slightly differently. It is not only Palestinians that need to be defeated in their intention to destroy Israel. There are more antagonists with their own agendas than that. There is Teheran and the general Arab sentiment that runs from Morocco to Indonesia, but that might indeed change with the defeat of the Palestinian aim to eliminate Israel. But a second, more important problem that you do not address is: US State Department officials and other individuals of similar persuasion in the US and Europe, and others such as the Israeli left and Olmert's own group, must know and see and understand the points you raise. Perhaps there somewhere lies the biggest problem and perhaps Israel's most significant enemy?
