Victory, and Peace for Israel Comes at the Beckoning of Her LORD Almighty God

Reader comment on item: Peace Process or War Process?
in response to reader comment: Where is Victory

After an initial quick observation of Dr. Pipes analyses of the continuously changing circumstances in the Middle East, there was the initial observation of this writer. But now, and now after the end of the most recent Islamic fast/feast, which strangely is coincident with the Jewish high Holy days, we see that the next round of 'negotiations' (the term exquisitely loosely used here) are about to start in New York. Whether or not there is recognition of the irony that is transpiring there, the result will remove all remaining doubt (if anyone really has a residual subliminal idea of Middle Eastern peace) of the real intentions of the protagonists scheduled to foul the airwaves there. Is the anticipation of the antagonistic attitudes and enmities of Israel's enemies present at the United Nation's gathering of Israel's foes sensed here?

Some might categorize the meetings in New York as part of a peace process, yet it is another round of discussions on how to corner Israel into submission to the will of a world bent and intent on squeezing even more out of her until there is nothing left. But why the need to re-express what has already been plainly stated. Abbas, Abdullah, Ahmadinejad, Haniyeh, Jumblatt, Mashaal, Nasrallah, and etc., etc, (the list could go on, for they are legion) have all stated, and restated for the record their terms for dealing with Israel. The question is asked by our Israeli petitioner, 'where is victory?' The answer is.....; it is found (in many places in the WORD of the LORD, but one of the best is here) in the Psalms 121:1-8: A Song of degrees. I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help. My help [comes] from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not suffer your foot to be moved: He that keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He that keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD [is] your keeper: the LORD [is] your shade upon your right hand. The sun shall not smite you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will preserve you from all evil: He will preserve your soul. The LORD will preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forever.

Now there is the need for belief that the LORD will accomplish everything He has purposed in His WORD, but even in the weakness of unbelief, He is still true to His WORD. All the legions of Israel's enemies will never prevent what the WORD of the LORD says will be; therein lies Israel's victory, and finally her peace.
