you are correct...Reader comment on item: Muslim Hours at Municipal Swimming Pools in the West Submitted by donvan (United States), May 6, 2009 at 10:41 It is correct for your daughter to be rejected for wearing 'dance pants' in a swimming pool. Nor because she is under control of I'slam, but because the clothing is not appropriate for swimming. Lets be honest, this is not about swim wear, it is about non -compliance with rules and regulations emmanting from a non I'slamic society. There are many solutions regarding respecting modesty, and it is understandable for parents, or any responsible adult , to be concerned with immodest behavior. If it were not the swimming pool, it would be somthing else. Does your daughter wear a burqua, do you require her to do so, how does she feel about her life being manipulated by a long dead and irrelevant notion of social norms, enforced by intimidation, threats and ultimately death to the disobedient. Perhaps if you relocated to a more I'slamic' nation, you would find happiness. Sudan,Pakistan,Iran, all would be more appropriate for your mindset.
