Your Egyptian taxi driver was delusional or he was simply teasing you.

In Islam, only the part between the belly button and the knees of a male should be covered. Bare chests are ok in Islam (of course for males only). I am not defending Islam at all, I am defending objectivity and truthfulness. In order to fight and expose Islam we need to avoid exaggerations and anecdotal references, it only hurts our mission.
