I agree with commenter "John" above. It would be absolutely tragic to allow Turkey in the EU. Turkey is often touted as an example of how Islam and democracy can be compatible. But what most don't know or ignore is that Turkey is only a democracy for the Muslims in that country. The minority Christian population continues to be discriminated against.
When Erdogan falsely accused Israel of committing "crimes against humanity" in Gaza, he obviously ignors the fact that Israel has taken great pains to avoid civilian casualties, making thousands of phone calls to Gazan residents to leave areas that were to be targeted, dropping leaflets from planes and helicopters. He ignores that terrorists deliberately use human shields. If Erdogan wants to talk about crimes against humanity, then let him acknowledge the genocide of Armenian Christians by Muslims.
