And Today, Erdogan's speech before the Turkish parliament accused Israel of committing a crime in Gaza that would "leave a black trace in the history of Humanity," Erdogan said.
Before such non-objective statements of states like Turkey, Egypt and Jordan [always] against Israel --what ever Israel did or did not-- I would ask about the benefits as well as about the validity of a peace agreement when those speeches and statements of those states come identical to those that are [still] in war relation with Israel i.e. the rest of Arab countries i.e. KSA, Qatar (through Al-Jazeera TV Arabic version)…
On the other side --and while Turkey is looking amongst the international calls to reach a truce-- Turkey stated that the country is ready to send its troop to ensure a long-cease-fire-term between Gaza and Israel. Yet, the Islamic spirit that resides under Ardogan's [unjust and harsh criticism] skin are dangerous.
Whether Arab or non-Arab, Islamic-Sharia-law-state or non Islamic, wondering if the so-called Moderate-Muslim-Regime-states are moderate in the first place?
While our soul keeps on calling for a fair and genuine Peace for all of us in The Middle east...I thank you, Dr. Pipes, for your thoughtful article.
