Imam of IstanbulReader comment on item: Erdoğan Bares His Fangs Submitted by D. ATA (Turkey), Jan 6, 2009 at 02:44 Dear Sir, I would like to remind you what Erdogan said when he was the mayor of Istanbul: "Democracy is a train, we will get off when the (right) time comes". What else can we say? Erdogan is using a very harsh language (while even arabic leaders keep their silence) about Israel, but this man never said a word about the massacre of Darfur. This means He is not interested in humanity he sees everything from a view of Islam. On the other hand, election in march is approaching. He just realised that he could not get 47% vote as he did in general election 2 years ago. Now he is using his real face to get vote, he is exploiting people's feelings. I personally am expecting him to do eveyrthing to get votes. Becuse if he gets under 47%, he knows he can not sit over there carelessly as he did for six years. In Turkey, he is called by his opponents "elected dictator" but his "friends" in the west have been defining him "Muslim Democrat". This is ridiculous. In closing, I do not know what we did to deserve this incompetent man as the prime minister who said when he became the mayor of Istanbul : " I am the imam of Istanbul now"... Best Regards D.
