Look at the crest of the USSR

It's the same as the UN's with one difference. The Soviet crest (or seal) showed the entire globe under the hammer and sickle. No world-wide intentions? "Workers of the world unite! All you have to lose are your chains!"

The UN seal substitutes a wreath symbolizing world peace for the hammer and sickle. No comment on the UN - it was intended to be a world body.

The American symbol is an eagle soaring in the sky. It says vigilance and isolation. Quite a difference... my country, Canada, has a red maple leaf on a white background. That's a country? A leaf turned red on a snowbank?
