Chaos and Order

Reader comment on item: Europeans: From Venus?

Submitted by D.R. (United States), Jul 17, 2002 at 03:28

The current world situation can be looked at in terms of the struggle between chaos and order. Liberal thinkers imagine that chaos and force are closely allied, and so they choose the path of inertia and passivity, construing this to be enlightened and even perhaps imagining vaguely that there is some religious principle mandating this passivity and inertia. However, the truth that emerges from long study of martial art is that inertia and passivity are allies of chaos, whereas force is actually the ally of order.

Force is a manifestation of unified energy, whereas chaos is disintegrated energy. Since the world is entropic, force is a constant requirement of survival. However, force is active; and, as such, force is irritating to the enervated mind, which wants nothing better than its own dissipation.

I would suggest that the Europeans are not "pacifistic" but infected with passive-mindedness. And so they become increasingly cynical toward any displays of constructive force - since this is anathema to their own spiraling enervation - and cynically support force only when it is destructive - arising from chaos - as in the case of terrorism and crime.
