Reader comment on item: The Guantánamo Arrests – What Do They Mean?

Submitted by Michael Arian (United States), Oct 3, 2003 at 15:22

Dear Mr. Pipes

Thanks for stating more cogently what I've been describing as "Stomping Ants around the mound."

I have always equated going after terrorists as being not unlike stomping on ants on the ground, hoping to staunch the flow of ants. However, killing the queen in order to stop the production of ants is the only effective treatment.

Thanks for the continued good efforts.

May The Lord continue to Guide and Protect us all.
Mike Arian
