O'Reilly appearanceReader comment on item: The Guantánamo Arrests – What Do They Mean? Submitted by Professor Matthew Yarczower (United States), Oct 1, 2003 at 21:33 Unfortunately, tactics like the one that Eltantawi used are effective with those who are either very slightly informed or uninformed. If O'Reilly's format were different, then he would have had his associate immediately bring up the article on the computer. Then he would have read the real quote.Outrageous comments about American soldiers, critics of Islamists and others by the enemies of Western freedoms are seen on the international scene. There is little doubt that they influence the uneducated but my fear is that they also influence those who are educated but uninformed,i.e., American students. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Comment on this item
