What Muslim Clerics Preach

Reader comment on item: The Guantánamo Arrests – What Do They Mean?

Submitted by Mike Ramirez (United States), Oct 1, 2003 at 21:35

In most religions, clerics preach peace and goodwill.
However, Muslim clerics who abide by the Qur'an have no other choice but to preach the words of their prophet, Muhammad, who calls for "striking terror" into the hearts of Jews, Christians and non-Muslims.
Muslim clerics are bound by their faith to fight for the cause of Islam and it is Islam which originally declared antagonism and war against all non-Muslims. How ironic that Muslim public relations groups want to make it appear that Islam is the one being attacked.
