Olmert will drop the requirement

"Olmert has boldly demanded that his Palestinian bargaining partners accept Israel's permanent existence as a Jewish state"Olmert's insistence in this regard will not stand. There is no way to go forward with the current "peace process" unless Israel drops this demand. And Olmert won't give up his silly peace efforts so easily -- he has nothing else to do, after all.

Therefore, expect Israel to gradually and quietly drop the demand that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.

That's the way it has always been with "absolute" requirements of this sort.
