besides a strong support for ruling party AKP, The Economist introduced a new concept by calling AKP "mildly islamist" as well as "moderate islamists".


i follow dr.pipes terminology ie. moderates vs islamists. from this perspective Economist ended up with oxymorons.

can we have dr.pipes take on this.

Yes, "moderate Islamist" is akin to "moderate Nazi" - not a very reassuring concept.
