Reader comment on item: Strange Logic in the Lebanon War

Submitted by Colin Spencer (United Kingdom), Aug 17, 2006 at 14:27

I've always proudly assumed that the public media in my county - the UK - was impartial. But this Lebanon conflict has shown me that commentators and anchormen in the broadcasting institutions can be openly anti Israeli and pro Hizbollah almost with let or hindrance. I'll never again defend them for impartiality.

The amazing thing is that the next thing to being our ally in the Middle east - Israel - was consistently and minutely scrutinised and heavily criticised while the next thing to being our enemy (as time, before long, will show) - Hizbollah - was allowed a clear run by our media.
