Reader comment on item: Strange Logic in the Lebanon War

So. whoopy-dooo!!! The proponderance of the Western Press is biased against Israel. This is news? Such bias is as nothing compared to the damaged visited upon Israel's credibility by the Olmert response to the Hizbollah attack and kidnapping.

A country not willing to risk significant ground combat casualties in our kind of world is not going to endure for long. It's a cruel world. Olmert's caution ((and if he was doing this with the advice of the IDF, then let us say "the IDF's" caution)) will only lead to a re-fighting ot this same war with far far greater casualities for Israel. I could get steamed up over the bias of the press if Israel was acting in a manner worthy of its tradition. But right now, a biased press is the least of Israel's worries. It's greatest enemy is itself.

Bring on Netanyahu. John W. McGinley
