You seem to assume that no one from the non-muslims at the time this verse was revealed argued that the Quran predicted something already happened. Any way, muslims today don't look at the prediction as "the great miracle" since predicting an event is not something so outstanding don't you think. However, it doesn't make sense why Mohammed was putting his religion into such risk. What really muslims see as the miracle is the sentence "أَدْنَى الْأَرْضِ ".

The word "الْأَرْضِ" (Al-Ard)means : land , earth , ground.

While the word "أَدْنَى" (adna) means: beneath , nethermost , neath , lowermost , rock-bottom , underneath , approach to , near to , move toward , approach , near.

Of course, you know that an arabic word usually has many meanings.

Reading this verse using the other meaning of the word "Adna" which is "lowermost" is just a statement of a geographical fact that could not have been known by anyone at that time: that the Romans had been defeated in the lowest land.

The Dead Sea, one of the regions in which the Byzantines were defeated in 613-14, is the lowest region on Earth.

The Dead Sea is "the lowest elevation and the lowest body of water on the surface of the Earth". (Sources: "Dead Sea." Encyclopædia Britannica from Encyclopædia Britannica)

Sorry "Richard the Lion heart", but two assumptions are too much for one verse. I have to assume that no one criticized Mohammed for making a prediction of something that already happened, and assume that the mentioning of the geographical fact was just a coincidence. I just believe that God has chosen the perfect word for a verse that would prove that Muhammed was his true messenger, both for the people of the past and for the people of the future.

But lets say that this was a Coincidence. Can you prove to the readers that each an every thing mentioned at (http://www.miraclesofthequran.com) is just a coincidence.
