Reader comment on item: Palestinians Taste a Dose of Their Own Medicine

I am fully convinced that everyone here is missing the main reason for so-called "Islamic" terror. Many anthropologists assert that bloodfeuds in ancient times were not conducted by any rational (i.e. economic) reasons. Such feuds were not conducted in any manner that would suggest a final subjugation of the enemy. Rather they were simply a manner of getting a rush and feeling alive.

In short, they were simply having fun.

It seems entirely likely to me that "islamic terror" is simply the Islamic version of American Idol.

Look at the celebrations in the Islamic world devoted to killing and maiming random civilians. They are not celebrations of hatred. Nor are they reasoned, rational demonstrations for justice. These people are having FUN. Lots of fun. You see dancing, body surfing high fiving and other types of behavior you'd see at a pep rally before a football game.

Why do they kill? Because it's fun. As Kurt Vonnegut recently opined "what a high".
