Reader comment on item: Palestinians Taste a Dose of Their Own Medicine

"Oh my God, oh my God. Is it possible that Arabs are killing Arabs, Muslims killing Muslims?"

As long as the mindset illustrated by the third speaker is prevalent in the Muslim world, we should not be too hopeful. I don't expect this to be a revelation to the Palestinians, the Iranians or anyone else who practices suicide bombing of non-combatants. Their only question is: why are you doing this to your fellow Muslims?

Witness what was done in Pakistan this week. Christian churches and towns were destroyed by Muslim jihadists who were brought in on buses. It was okay to kill their fellow Pakistanis because they were not Muslims. They don't view your life or mine as equal to their own.

Dr Pipes, your headline for this article is the best description of my reaction when I first heard that some of the Amman victims were Palestinians attending a family wedding. It was hard not to believe that they had it coming and that they deserved it. It wasn't joy, but there was a feeling of satisfaction. The reactions of the Palestinian community to this atrocity will be revealing. I only wish we had reason for hope. I just don't see it.
