Reader comment on item: Palestinians Taste a Dose of Their Own Medicine

First, thank you Dr. Pipes for such an excellent article!

Secondly, I was just thinking about all the lies the media in Canada spread and promulgate about Islamism, terrorism, and so on.

In Canada, falsehoods are continuously repeated (most often by the CBC). The lies include:
1) Islam means peace.
2) Arafat was a peace-maker.
3) The U.S. is and always has been pro-Israel.
4) Land for peace
5) Islamic terrorism does not exist
6) Israel is a terrorist state
7) Jews control the media in Canada

Numbers 5 and 7 were once again repeated on a CBC radio program (spoken by a member of the Arab community, with the host of the program saying nothing to contradict the Muslim woman's remarks or offer even a mild objection to the outright lies.) The broadcast itself was on the topic of "Hate" and "how to handle hate propaganda."

Now I ask, what naturally comes to mind when thinking in our day and age about hate propaganda? Should it not be the hate-filled screeds of the Islamofascists who pledge to murder all those who fail to subscribe to their twisted beliefs? But -- O NO!! -- of course not -- the "propaganda" as imagined at the CBC can only refer to anyone who should audaciously state that some practioneers of Islam are somehow implicated in terrorism. Thus, anyone mentioning Islamic fanaticism and associating Islam with terrorism is a spreader of "hate propaganda."

Thus, the CBC's topic of "hate and propaganda" by-passed entirely the real perpetrators of the offensive material (Islamist material which gives instructions, for example, on how to murder X number of innocents) while simultaneously managing to defame the innocent (those who dare to call a spade a spade). Ironically, it was just another instance of CBC's own propaganda message -- once more informing listeners that Islamic terrorists do not exist, they're simply products of a Jewish controlled media...
