in response to reader comment: Palestinian Islamic Scholar at Al-Aqsa mosque ally calls to ERADICATE Hindus

Dear Dr Pipes, Thanks to reader Patel for drawing our attention toward the call by the Al-Aqsa mosque Muslim priest to Muslims to eradicate polytheistic Hindus. Nice call. Love it.

I did some research on the Internet and confirmed that the call was indeed made. In fact, the same priest in the same speech also called upon Muslims to free other Islamic lands from other infidels.

I thought that the Al-Aqsa folks are darn busy in defending themselves against the IDF and will not pay attention to other people. But no such luck. A good Muslim anywhere is a good Muslim everywhere and will encourage infidel-cide everywhere. This proves that there is no such thing as a local Muslim problem. Kashmir, Palestine, Manhattan, Cordoba, Mecca, Nigeria may be in different theaters of their wars but they are all in the same war that Muhammad started in or around the year 630. Welcome everyone to the zeroth world war started by Allah and/or Muhammad themselves.

But why waste a letter without a suggested meditation for Muslims. You see folks, I have a lot of respect for the ancient Jewish saints and prophets for formalizing and inventing the monotheistic thought. I admire that thought.
But, honestly, a good medicine in the hands of quacks is no good. And, I do not think that Islamic doctrine understands monotheism or any of its antonyms much at all. First of all, have Muslims ever tried to understand if there is a difference between idolatry and polytheism? Can one exist without the other? Which one is a bigger sin? Or both are? Or neither is? I won't provide an answer because it is a meditation for the Al-Aqsa mosque priest and other Muslims. Before Muslims continue their profession of killing the infidels and polytheists, some contemplation on these questions will be a good idea. Happy thinking.
