Reader comment on item: [The Canadian Islamic Congress:] An Islamist Apology

Submitted by Dvora (United States), Jul 21, 2005 at 07:07

Tarek Fateh,

...consider this fact. If not for men like Daniel Pipes, who is NOT the Muslims' worst enemy as your letter states, there is no telling exactly what the American people, collectively, would do ... We are long, fed up, with those... who preach racism, the coming of the "4th Caliphate", HATE, DEATH, while screaming for "tolerance" to hatred and free speech -- preaching of death to the "Kafir".

Dr. Daniel Pipes, and his writings, tend to ground me, and I am sure, so many others, who know about Islamists' intolerance for everything under the sun, and who preach death and destruction. Dr. Pipes, reminds me, at every turn, that there are moderate Muslims, with many of whom I have enjoyed friendships of length, more than 20 years, and who are a compliment to any Society to which they belong. Dr. Pipes does MORE for Muslim tolerance, than any person, in America or elsewhere, because he consistently segregates the Islamist from the religion known as Islam.

Islamists and their apologists are thugs. Plain and simple. They should be dealt with as common thugs and not be permitted to hide under the umbrella of religious freedom, here in the USA or anywhere on the Planet.
