Reader comment on item: [The Canadian Islamic Congress:] An Islamist Apology

Submitted by Donald W. Bales (United States), Jul 19, 2005 at 14:30

Although I believe there is too much litigation, the liberals and others have taught us how effective it can be. Therefore, I am pleased that you took the libel-legal route to respond to the liars and distorters. I think every attack should be answered with a response. There is a law of physics-to every action there is an equal opposite reaction. In such cases as this, I believe the reaction should be at least equal-and maybe even a little more than equal. Unchallenged statements often get accepted and become part of general knowledge even though they are misinformation rather than information.
U.S. people are sometimes slow to catch on, but catch on they do, and then punish liars and doers of misdeeds. The British have just had a lesson. I hope they will take it to heart and tighten up on the disloyal Muslims in their midst.
We still have a goodly percentage of our people who have not yet caught on to the peril the U.S. is in.
