We finally see the results of decades of Americans watching an average of four hours of TV a day: Hours of non-controversial, politically correct, anodyne pablum has become the preferred method of communication to the general public. Maybe some day we'll have a president who considers the country a collection of thinking people instead of a game-show audience.
