If, as you say, the 'Jews' are guilty of changing the words of scriptures, then one might expect they would have made Judaism of the Old Testament to be different that the Judaism of teh New Testament. In another words, they would have eliminated the fulfillment of prophecy that points to Jeshua HaMashiach asa thier once and future King. They're still looking for a messiah, not believing He appeared once already; thus He is approaching for the second time, by their own prophecies.
