Reader comment on item: Obama's Pretend Counterterrorism Policy

Submitted by Kepha Hor (United States), Aug 29, 2011 at 21:23

Dr. Pipes, after reading the Qur'an (Yusuf Ali translation) and parts of the Hadith, I can only say that there is something inherently supremacist and chauvinist in Islam. The Jews get slammed for the Chosen People doctrine, but the Torah says, "It is not for your righteousness...for ye are a stiffnecked people". The Qur'an, however, flatters Muslims that they are "the best of peoples". The ethics of the Bible (Old and New Testaments, for I am a Christian) are admittedly hard to follow; but Islam basically blesses every possible lust (material, political, or sexual) of the Muslim male.

I don't have a problem with Muslims telling me that my Bible is corrupted (even when they can't find a shred of evidence for any Bible that predated the corrupted one, or explain how the Jews and Christians, who fought each other, came up with the same Tanakh), or that I'm going to Jahanum because I think Muhammad was just a lust-ridden Arabian warlord. If that's all that there was between us, I could live with that. But when the swarthy guy two pews ahead of me on Sunday is hiding from his own brother because he fears for his life (he's a mortad), or when those Pakistani gangs in the UK groom pre-teen native English girls for sex, or when non-Muslim girls in Pakistan and Egypt are regularly kidnapped, raped, and "converted" to Islam so they can marry their abductors, I tend to believe that the only cure for Islamicist terror is either mass apostasy by Muslims, or some Kufr conqueror's troops using the ruins of the Ka'aba to barbecue pork after the Muslims push some underestimated Kufr power just a wee bit too far.
