I wonder what Christianity would look like if the gospels according to Matthew and John were the only 2 volumes in the New Testament? In that scenario the words of Jesus would obviously take precedence, and without the words of Paul and et. al. believers would have a better mental picture of Gods requirements. Keeping in mind the fact that including those other volumes was a decision made by men who had something to gain.

Jesus prophesied that two versions of the Gospel would be preached; one by the children of the kingdom and another by the tares; the children of the devil. In my opinion Paul was the father of the tares, sent to deceive if possible the very elect. There is an old saying outside the scripture that says "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it", a phrase which applies here I think.

Lastly Jesus said of the counterfeits, "Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch". Peace out.
