Russian Paranoia !!!

Reader comment on item: U.S.-Pakistan Relations in Decline
in response to reader comment: The Case For Pakistan

Submitted by Carlos de Souza (India), May 4, 2011 at 23:10

It is this illogical Russian paranoia on the part of the USA that is preventing co-operation in fighting terrorism.

Also, you should know by now that a good portion of the Western supplies into Afghanistan is through Uzbekistan. Had there been co-operation with the Russians, the dependence on Pakistan could have been reduced significantly.

Iran could also have helped tremendously as they are a Shia country, vehemently opposed to the Taliban.
