Reader comment on item: U.S.-Pakistan Relations in Decline

Submitted by B.N.Gururaj (India), May 18, 2011 at 00:27

Even after 9/11, and clear evidence of Pakistani origin of attack on the world trade centre, this website and Daniel Pipes did not consider Pakistan and Indo-Pak conflict as a major concern for international safety. In fact,t his website is proudly proclaiming that it is concerned with middle east and little else. Now that Osama is dead, the focus has again shifted to Pakistan. It is time to realise, that right now, if there is a powder keg in the world, it is Indo Pak border, and no longer Israeli Arab conflict. The double dealing friend of the USA in its war on terrorism requires more and closer attention than it is now receiving in the US media and foreign policy portals.

Daniel Pipes replies:

Pakistan is a hugely important country but outside my sphere of expertise, so I very rarely discuss it. The exceptions are listed here: http://www.danielpipes.org/topics/30/south-asia
