If israeli companies want to conduct business with governments or companies in countries that are friendly or hostile towards Israel they should proceed and do whats in their best interest. just like turkey has tried to minimize the regional tensions in the middle east through commerce and making other countries realize that peace could also bring prosperity. But your point for Israel to "act to protect its interest" is one of violence not commerce, diplomacy or friendly relations. Israel should do whatever it can to better itself with its neighbors near and far. just like turkey has done since the AKP has come to power.

Turkey persecuted their own Kurdish citizens for decades and decades. and since the AKP came to power they have done more to stop the persecution of Kurd's than any other Turkish government and to help the Kurds increase their stake in turkey. Israel just needs to learn that violence begets violence, which means keeping 1.6million gazans holed up is in no one's best interest.
