I am Confused about your historical analysis

Daniel. I read this with some confusion the United States and its allies in the recent decade and a half have attacked or supported the attack on almost every selcular society in the middle east. These attacks have only benifted Islamic Fundamentalists, be it in Iraq, Lybia, Syria or the Yemen ect ect.

What I see is on one hand the United States preaching about Democracy and Freedom but putting into power by its wars and support of the Saudi and Gulf State Monarchies those who oppose both. In doing so I note the US has put its great "friend" Israel in mortal danger - when will these incredibly stupid policies of the last two Administrations be reversed??????

The Taliban in Afghanistan were hardly secular, nor was Saddam Hussein in Iraq. And US forces are fighting ISIS now. So the record is much more complex.
