Dear Dr Pipes,

Your reader from Germany who called himself "muslim" repeated the old argument that Islam was great in Islam's golden age about 1000 years ago and invented everything that was to be invented. Sounds good. Keep up the good work and I recommend to muslim that he and his brethren should button up and invent some more. Some of the things to try with immediate effect are:

1) drop the guns, they just kill.

2) give more freedom to women because they can invent as well.

3) give more love to minorities in Islamic countries because they also deserve to be productive

4) don't be wimpy minorities around the world. Look at the Jewish people around the world. They are in minority whereever they are but still their per capita production is very high. And I have never heard a Jew saying that he is not getting his rights.

5) Focus on population growth rate. Our planet is very resource starved. We need fewer people in developing countries many of which have sizable Islamic population.

Sounds, great. Doesn't it?
