Reader comment on item: [Theo van Gogh and] "Education By Murder" in Holland

Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Nov 17, 2004 at 04:17

Dear Mr. Pipes,

I am a European and I agree with your analysis of the Van Gogh murder. "Education by murder" is a good explanation and it sums it up.

In my opinion, Europe has accepted far too many immigrants. In some parts of Europe, immigrants have out-numbered native Europeans.

In the past 20 years, European authorities have turned a blind eye on illegal immigration and the make-up of European society has changed completely.

In European cities, like Amsterdam, immigrants are set to become the majority of the population.

European authorities have too often encouraged illegal immigration, in the name of multi-culturalism.

Multi-culturalism is considered by the authorities to be an absolute truth that cannot be challenged and Europeans are forced to accept immigration , whether legal or illegal.

Holland used to be one of the most open-minded societies in the world and they have allowed in millions of immigrants from less developed countries.

In Europe, it has never been possible to have an open-debate on immigration.

Multiculturalists and left-wingers share the responsibility for the Van Gogh murder.
