I hope Europe will now understand Hindu reaction in Gujrat

Reader comment on item: [Theo van Gogh and] "Education By Murder" in Holland

Submitted by Romesh Chander (United States), Nov 16, 2004 at 15:11

The entire 'tolerant' Europe viciously criticised India for what happened in Gujrat after the burning of a passanger train by Muslims in Godhara (Gujrat) couple of years ago, leading to the 'cremation' of 58 passangers; this led to fury by Hindus which led to burning and killing of about 1000 Muslims.

Looks like 'tolerant' Holland (and 'tolerant' Europe) is finally waking up to the dangers, which Hindus have experienced for over 1200 years; a CLASH of CIVILIZATIONS between Hinduism and Islam, you better believe it; this clash has been going on for 1200 years and is still continuing. Currently, it has manifested in 'Islamic insurgency' in Kashmir (yes, I say Islamic Insurgency; there are Hindu Pandits, Buddhists, and Sikhs in Kashmir; and none of them are involved in insurgency; rather they are victim of this insurgency).

I hope 'tolerant and liberal' European countries will 'reconsider' the application of Turkey to join in European Union. Or, maybe, they will need a few more shocks (I hope not as shocking as 9/11 which US had to endure) to wake up and understand the real nature of Islam. I did not use the term 'militant Islam' or 'fundamentalist islam', because, by its very nature I believe that Islam is Militant and Fundamentalist.

Understanding Islam is the real key.
