This is ... oversimplification. Newt Gingrich and Eric Holder are the bellweathers for the right and left? Why?

I understand your point and I see its manifestations in public life on a daily basis. It is endemic. But there is also an ugliness, an ignorance, and yes, an Islamaphobia to the right that you are ignoring. There is likewise a deep understanding on the left of what Al Qaeda, terrorism, and political Islam really means to the world's one and a half billion Muslims.

Really, I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish ...
