Losing Battles!

Reader comment on item: How to Save the Obama Presidency: Bomb Iran

" The victorious strategist seeks battle after the victory has been won,

while he who is destined to defeat first fights and seeks victory afterwards..." ( Sun Tzu 2500 BCE)

The Western Democracies face certain defeat unless a change of tactics is forthcoming. You do not declare a war on terror, limit your actions, wait anxiously for hostilities to cease then try to sue for peace. One should not pay the warlords to stop attacking you. One does not negociate with terrorists and those wishing you harm. It is either all or nothing; or you are doomed to failure.

Win the war; whether by deception, strategy, covert operations, spying, sabotage or whatever means necessary. What a waste of young precious lives to let politicians, Arabists, anti-democracy forces and our very enemies determine the way we must fight!

The Chinese warrior writings of 2500 years ago need to be dusted off and read again!
