Israel has had a working reactor since '55 and the bomb since '61.

Reader comment on item: How to Save the Obama Presidency: Bomb Iran

Submitted by Menachem Ben Yakov (United States), Feb 3, 2010 at 12:48

That means that during the Six Day war , the Yom Kippur war, the war in Lebanon and all the other conflicts Israel has faced it has never , ever, used the bomb. When individuals claim every country has the right to nuclear power, they never admit that Israel has proven for decades that she does not endanger her neighbors. Some wild-eyed anarchists don't think a 50 year record of safety means anything. Every country in the Middle East views a nuclear Iran as destabilizing. The Iranian government abuses its own citizens. Obama would not stand up for the democratic rights of Iranian students when they were being butchered in the streets of Teheran. Would Obama attack Iran? No chance.
