One Cheer for Obama's Foreign Policy

Reader comment on item: One Cheer for Obama's Arab-Israeli Policy

Submitted by Anne (United States), Sep 16, 2009 at 23:41

I am glad to see something positive in this situation. In order for there to be movement and solutions, it will take both sides communicating. Since Israel has tried to keep peace agreements in the past, I would say they would be surprised if the Palestinians are genuine in their earnesty to reach a solution.

I am sceptical though about Obama's willingness to allow the Israeli settlements to be built! I think Israel has made enough concessions for the time being.
